PhD students enrolled in the PhD program Infection Biology and Health are members of the Graduate School of Medical and Health Sciences.
The focus of this PhD Program lies on the interface between basic research in infection biology and its application in healthcare for the global multicultural population. This PhD program is particularly recommended for students of the Faculty of Science with Infection Biology as their PhD subject.
Before graduating, GSMHS PhD students must earn at least 18 ECTS alongside their research. Each student’s individual study plan is developed in collaboration with their doctoral committee, especially the first supervisor.
Students can tailor their curriculum to their interests, selecting from Master’s and PhD courses offered by the University of Basel, GSMHS, GRACE, as well as other national or international universities and institutes.
