Navigating the publication process: responding to reviewer comments and crafting submission and resubmission letters

Interpreting and responding to comments on your writing from supervisors or reviewers can be difficult. Writers need to understand what these comments mean, how to revise their manuscripts accordingly, and how to communicate politely yet assertively when responding to comments. To guide you through this process, this input session will focus on three points:

1. The publication process and different review formats
2. Interpreting and responding to reviewers’ and supervisors' comments on different aspects of manuscripts, including examples
3. Communicating with publishers, including cover letters for first submissions, resubmissions and rebuttals

Participants will receive a detailed script with guidelines and examples, as well as input slides.
